I Am We Video

I Am We Campaign: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AW9EifuvaH0

1. What does the statement "I Am We" mean to you?

2. How did the students in the video try to improve the lives of other students?

3. How would you like to see the lives of other students improve at Wrightwood?

4. What do you think you can do to help make a change at Wrightwood? Can you do something as an individual? Can we do something as a class?

    5. Some people do that. So in some cases yes.

      Delete
    6. James sometimes that isn't the case sometimes bullies are jealous not needy for attention.

      Delete
    7. No, because a bully bullies people just because they think they popular, but they know their not because not everybody's is perfect and they need to understand that. That's why I think popularity is stupid because what's the point of being popular when your not perfect yourself and plus popularity means your being a show- off!

      Delete
    8. Minjoraye I'm sensing some jealously BTW popularity means having a lot of friends :)

    7. Sharice do you mean if you see someone being bullied you'd stay out of it so the bully would (might) get into trouble?

      Delete
    8. i think we can work together on things i stead of talking about each other.

      Delete
    3. I honestly dont know maybe a program to keep them on the right track

      Delete
    4. Ms.Staff I think you could try to be the nicest student to them but I think you can't stop how they will inevitably feel.

P.S I think it would need to be a group effort for someone not to feel isolated

      Delete
  5. should stop talking about another person
    3. to tell an adult that someone is bulling another student.

  6. I think we should have a anti bulling rally on anti bulling month so we can talk to the school on why we shouldn't bully.

  9. I am We means that if one person is bullied then everyone is bullied. The students tried to end bullying in their school. I would like all the name calling and fighting to stop at our school. We as a whole can stop bullying by telling a teacher, or not resolving it with violence.

      Delete
    4. I agree with you but I don't understand how it will ever end. Like this school is small and can be controlled that easily.

      Delete
    5. That make sense but something has to be done

      Delete
    6. Larry, You make a good point. I think that students are the ones who will have to make the change. Students will have to decide that they are going to treat people. Do you think that can happen? How?

      Delete
    7. I agree. But how are we getting the word around to all the schools? If that's possible.

      Delete
  10. I am we means that everyone is together. The students improved their lives by having a campaign for anti-bullying. I would like to see lives changed in Wrightwood by having better staff members because some of them are the bullies in the school, not the students. Getting better staff or we can encourage them to stop being mean can help Wrightwood and we could protest to stop bullying in our school. Our class can do an anti-bullying protest.

    1. You're right Cyrus! we do need better staff that can treat us right. instead of these want to be teachers that can't respect themselves!

    2. An education is not how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It is being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you do not know.

    4. Thanks for backing me up guys! u guys really understand what i'm trying to say. really surprising = ) !

    5. I agree even though students are mean to each other the staff have to understand their "treating" comments add to the bullying and could start it.

      Delete
    6. I think yours was the most detailed cyrus good job!!!!!!!!!!!

    7. Studies show that a lot of adults are stressed out and then they start to be mean because of the stress, that's mostly how adult bullying starts.

      Delete

      Delete
    9. Now I know! thanks Cyrus were ever you got that info from it's really interesting!

I basically think that the i am we video means that students are trying to unite and become one because they are trying to put a end to bullying. i would like to see students at wrightwood get along better if everyone would stop talking smart and just stop instigating and hating on each other and there would be no drama at all

  18. Question 3: I want to see CicsWrightWood students work together

    ReplyDelete
  19. 1. I feel like what "I Am We" means is that people want treat you like you would want to treat them and that everybody is the same in this world and that people can't change the way they are.
2.How they tried to improve student's life's in there school is that they got the people that were isolated and got them back in shape and cheered them up.
3.What I would like to see improve in our school is more respect of other people's race's,respect in general, and maybe more of a social life for us students.
4.What I can do is try to get us together and let us discuss about more often.
(If these steps don't work I don't what to say).

  24. Question 3 I don't think any body this school because I know atleast 3 o r4 people are going to either stand up for him/her or tell the teacher or an important administrator

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think it means we are all one like in the video they came together to stop bullying that is what should be used in wrightwood.Because I would really like to see everyone feel welcome. We can start by just being nice and that can inspire others to do the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Great comment Robert Stewart! I agree, I think the classroom and school environment it much more fun when everyone feels welcome. Question: What do we do when people do not feel welcome, even if they have been at Wrightwood for years?

      Delete
    2. Well we start fresh and just talking to them do little stuff like greeting them ,helping them out once and a while.

      Delete
  26. I think I am we video means we our one and they stick together.
By giving them some things that they could do and be.
I would like to see their lives change positively and their attitudes.

3.If someone else is being bully or mess with i will try to see what going on and help that kid out.
    4. What would i will do. I will do the same thing making a group and have kids have each other back.Yes, I same this b/c I can tell a teacher or stand up from the bully. Yes, We can like when every we see someone being bully or messing with them can see what is going on and tell that erson to stop.

  29. 1.I Am Me means how people feel who they are and how we can help.
2.They tried to build the self confidence up and made posters to help.
3.I would like to see an after school club for people getting bullied and express their feeling to each other.
4.Maybe make a sign, and at one of our events share the poster with everyone, as an individual I can sit down and talk with administration, as a class we can write letters about how we feel.

  33. Some of you still have a lot to say about the way you are treated by teachers and I think you make some valid points. If you don't like the way you are treated by a teacher, what do you think you could do to change it?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. we could treat the teacher better or be good so the teacher can treat us better

      Delete
    2. We could change the way some staff in the school think, but if that doesn't work then they need to get fired.

      Delete
    3. Cyrus, how can you change the way they think? How is their thinking wrong? How do you know?

      Delete
    4. I personally wouldn't be affected by what a teacher would say because the only opinion that matters to me is my families unless the comment is in the teacher's jurisdiction like my schoolwork. But I added that comment because I've saw how a teacher would try to be a cool friend and overstep professional boundaries and hurt a student in the end.

      Delete
    5. What I should do to change it is tell them how you feel, you should ignore them, or you should just tell the principal how you feel and what REALLY needs to change about your teacher(NO OFFENSE THOUGH).

      Delete
    6. I think we should stop acting out I think the main reasons some kids do it is they want to be popular or they get mad at the teachers even if they are wrong i know i do that so we can change who we talk to or hang around with because they get us in trouble.

      Delete
    7. Ariel, I agree that this can happen. If you see it happen, I encourage you or the student it happened to to set up a meeting with the teacher :-). I think if we want to change the way things feel at Wrightwood students and teachers need to work together!

      Delete
    8. You could transfer to another school

    11. I think Darryl and Jared's comments are very reflective. As teachers we sometimes feel the need to be "mean" or "strict" because otherwise students don't respond. Trust me, if everyone did things I asked the first time, I would NEVER raise my voice- it stresses me out when I have to yell :-(.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The staff should be nice to us so that we can be nice to them. Kids learn from adults and when kids are being bullied by adults kids think that it's good to bully each other and other adults. So that's why adults need to change first so that we can learn that being nice is the right way.
