Persuasive Letter Ideas

We are going to be writing persuasive letters in class.

What issues are important to you? They can be about school, your neighborhood, your city, or even the world.

Who makes decisions about these issues? For example, Mr. Lewis makes decisions about the school, your alderman makes decisions about your neighborhood and Barack Obama makes decisions that effect the entire world.

      Larry, I totally agree with you!!!! We had sports teams at my old school and I had so much fun cheering my students on at the games. Also, it is really good for your health and helps build good habits for the future. I really hope you write a letter about sports teams :-)

    in school i thiink we shoukd have better lunches and the dress code shouldnt be this strict and in society i think that teachers that teach grades 5 and up she get payed more because if the ages and its more to handle

    Dear Mr. Lewis, this is a really good school, but some of the staff members don't really fit in. I know that it's their job to keep us on task and to teach us but things just go too far. we should be able to talk at lunch even though that we are yelling. It's just not fair for us because I see the other staff at lunch talking and having a good time when our heads are down and we have to be quiet. Another complaint that I have is the uniform policy. It's cold in the winter and some parents can't afford new jackets or sweaters. You should change the policy so that we can wear any color uniform.

    I think that we should have a cheerleadering team. Also we should better lunches at the waschool,and i dont see the piont of having a mascot if we dont even have any sports.Dont get me wrong i do love it when the mascot performes but i'd rather the mascot to be able to be at other events.

    Video Games. Microsoft why do you make us pay EXTRA money for Xbox Live Membership? It's bad enough your console is way overpriced, plus $60 for every game we buy. So if we buy the console($499.99), plus a membership for one year($59.99), and one game($59.99), plus an extra controller($59.99) that totals up to $680. Please change the pricing, or else the PS4's sales will continue to flourish while your sales plummet to the bottom :)

    Dear, Mayor I think we should get more money for schools who don't have a school gym or anything else school related, So instead of making a regular school funraiser we should have a schoolwide funraiser so we can get more money for schools that are in need.

    Dear,Mr.Lewis the issues is the uniform can we have more dressdown days and more events like get somebody else to dance for us instead of michal jackson.You can bring somebody else like a singer or a rapper for are prep rally befor we take are ISAT testing or NWEA testing.And can we have more cooks outs to.
