This week I want you all to think about making connections as you read. There are several things you can make a connection to:
1. A personal event in your life
2. Another book or movie
3. A global event
Please choose at least on thing to make a connection to. Explain what the connection is and how it helps you understand the story better.
Your blog post needs to contain:
1. The answers to my questions
2. Specific evidence from the text
3. Complete sentences
4. Proper grammar and spelling
5. At least 5 sentences
Remember all posts get emailed to my phone and it is very easy to forward them on to whomever needs to see them.

DeleteI have a connection to Nina from "I Want to Live". She was shy in school, but she didn't give up on making friends. I never give up on anything. She had her eyes fixed so that she can blend in. I don't try fixing myself, but I do try my best and doing what ever it takes to achieve my goal.

DeleteIn my book, Hera messed with two people from different worlds mixed them up and somehow before that they were family. In my life my halves of my family have known other parts of family before i was born. This also occurred in The Lost Hero. Also a man and woman married each other not knowing they were brother and sister
ReplyDeletein my book Hera steal's a kid named Jason memories and now Jason Leo and Piper have to save Hera before the winter solsis witch is in three days plus capture storm srpits and save Piper's dad from a giant.

ReplyDeleteThis book reminds me of Twilight because Max enemies are trying to kill her like the werewolves and vampires. In my life this is like every day because my little sister.

DeleteI'm reading the book called Divergent and I feel like I can make a connection with Artemis Fowl because, there conflicts are similar. Example: Artemis Fowl's conflict is about trying to find a cure for her mom in the past.In Divergent Tris goes on a challenge to be in a faction instead of being factionless. I feel like those are similar because, in both of the books they deal with something really challenging also making them stronger.( I LIKE READING CHALLENGING BOOKS).(PERSONAL BLOG- NOT COMMENT).
DeleteMy book ZOM-B reminds me of the t.v show and video game the walking dead. Even though the t.v show and the video game isn't the same. But the beginning started out with one person trying to find zombies and other shelter. All the zombies are walking around roaming the street while the survivors fight to stay alive and not get bit.

DeleteMy cousin reminds me of my book Bud Not Buddy.I say this because in the book his foster family had a mean son he would beat him up then lie about it.The thing that makes me mad is that his mother believe everything he said.In my cousin case she wouldn't get away for it until someone tells which is five minutes later. She'd hit my sister and then run into my grandfather's arms and play innocent. If my grandma wasn't there i don't know what have went down
DeleteI listened to a song called Bad Apple. It tells us about a girl who is stuck and can't move on, but she finds a way to go forward. I'm always stuck in life, but I always find a way to get out of it. She continued fighting and moved on. Once I find the solution to my problems I move on. Then she never looks back at the past and looks toward the future. No matter how bad the past was for me, I look to the future.

DeleteYour right Cyrus! people do get stuck in life and it may be because of money problems or if one your favorite family member might have died, but sometimes you just have to move forward and hope for the best, but other than that you are right.

DeleteWhen I'm always watching movies sometimes they give us worldwide lessons like for( ex: there was a movie about these people surviving the events that was changing the world and the lesson was(" DON'T HIDE, SURVIVE!") and it has something to do with the world because you just can't hide from your problems, but instead of doing that you can find a way to figure out to fix the problem and live life again!

Good guess! but the movie that I wtheas having a connection to was The Croods and it had something to do with a group of cave dwellers who had to adapt that the world was changing.

I think that I could Relate to Her Because in the book series she had to make a lot of tough Descisions. and Sometimes she Doesnt know how to handle them. ReplyDeleteI really like this book allegiant because I can relate to this book in so many ways .Here a couple reasons why .First because the character Tris Prior is alot like me we are both fearless and strong and also very caring and loving .Now her friend Chistina we are total opposites she is careless, unconscious, fearful, unreliable ,and unfaithful also very rude .And one thing I can really say about Tris is she never gives up and she strives for the best .Oh and Ms.Staff thank you for letting me read this book it is really interesting and a mystery at the same time.

DeleteI am most defiantly connected to the idea of less homework. We have tests in math every few days,long term projects in science, and classwork that becomes extra homework in reading if you couldn't complete it. I hate that we have tests and long term projects to do and homework almost everyday in every class. I think the teachers should meet and decide to have set dates for tests in each class and clear our homework schedules a week before the projects due in each class so we can get really into work mode with a little to no distractions on the schools part.And we can't say we didn't have time.

And I would like to connect this a movie called "Princess and the Frog ",to this book called "this book called "Enchanted" Because in princess and the frog the girl had to kiss the prince which was a frog to change him into human again. This is kind of what happened in the book enchanted,the girl was asked to kiss a frog to turn back to human.
ReplyDeleteIn my book there are multiple stories about young girls who are very smart and bright people.one girl is like me because she thinks she can do everything on her own but at the end of the day she need help. Another girl is like me because she wants to follow the rules but different people influence her and she ends up making mistakes that she learns from. But most important all these girls have potential to strive for there goals and they are not stopping until they get what they want in this case they want boys. So i see myself in all theses girls in my book
