Happy New Year!
I hope you all are enjoying your new AR books! By now you should be far enough into the story to know who your main character is and what conflict he or she is trying to overcome. Remember the conflict is the foundation to any good story and will drive the plot throughout the rest of your book. Answer the following questions and look for connections between your responses and your classmates'.
1. Who is your main character?
2. What conflict is your main character trying to overcome?
3. What steps do you think your main character might take to resolve the conflict?
What might you do in the same situation?
Your blog post needs to contain:
1. The answers to my questions
2. Specific evidence from the text
3. Complete sentences
4. Proper grammar and spelling
5. At least 5 sentences

She is trying to not be known as Divergent.
She might have to drop out and be factionless.
I would not trust anyone and not try to draw attention to myself.

Deletei am currently reading the book Divergent and i am almost done with the first book. the main character in the book is beatrice and the main problem that she is trying to overcome is being brave in Dauntless and get used to her new faction. the main conflict is the that she is scared and that she she is Divergent.

ReplyDelete2.The conflict the main character has in MAUS 2 is that he's in the holocaust and has to be in a camp for the rest of the book until the Americans save them and when the war is over in that time.
3.The steps he should do in resolving his conflict is to try do what they say and be nice to them so that they won't shoot you and try to survive by eating anything. What I would do is try to survive as good as possible and to suck it up what they ask me to do even if you hate it.
EVIDENCE: "They registered us in... They took us our names and here they put me my number".
It's said to be one of the best holocaust books. The only thing I don,t like about it is that it's short but it's still a good book.(This is a true story about a person who was lucky to survive the holocaust).

DeletePatty is the main character and is a Jewish girl in America. She is trying to hide a prisoner that escaped prison because she likes him. The police are out searching for him. Patty has to keep him a secret to the officials. I think that Patty will relocate him before anyone finds out where he is.

DeleteThe main character in my book is bud.He is trying to overcome his foster brother is lying to his mother about beating him up, but his mother believes him. Also bud is trying to find his father.If i was in this situation i would explain to my foster mother that he is lying and tell the truth even if i would get into trouble, maybe i would leave and find my father.

How the main character resolve the conflict: Nikki enter the talent show because the prize was to get your scholorship and get to be on TV But Nikki found out that a mean girl name Mackenzie prank her.
My book is titled Finale. The main character in my story is Nora Grey who is now a full nephilim, the offspring of an fallen angel and a human. She is trying to overcome that the fact she has to lead a army because of a forced oath she made with her dead Father or she will die.And on top of that her boyfriend is a fallen angel the species the army she is unwillingly leading wants to kill. She will have to convince the nephilim not to go to war and get the fallen angels no to inhabit the nephilims body for two weeks. Because Nora was vague in her oath i would lead the army for a little bit then skip town with her boyfriend Patch and live happily ever after. And not be unappreciative like Nora is that she has Patch and immortality.

ReplyDeleteI just started reading this book about Tina Fey. She talks about the challenges of being a woman in a field that is dominated by men. There were lots of lessons she learned growing up that helped her out as she got further along in her career. I like the book because she gives a lot of good advice about life, but she is also REALLY FUNNY.

DeleteI would say it is more of a memoir because it doesn't focus on her entire life chronologically. She is taking different events from her life to make a point about how women can be successful in business.

Susanna is the main character in my book. the conflict in the book is that Susanna is trying to stop the circle of girls from lieing to the preachers that some of the people( mostly women.) are witches even though they are not. And in order for her to do this she needs to stand up for the town and not be afraid to do so.
